Five kilometer marathon April first
I left my house in a haste
Not afraid of the haze
The sky was at its best
Though not gusty was still apprenhensive
Belfast weather could change with the turn of a minute
Not gonna be discouraged my prep not intensive
I was there for the fun, it was not gonna be dilute
April first the road was dry and the sky was blue
Thought it was a mirage the second day was same
The weeping sky was dry, the sun set aglow
The reflection of its glory, its warmth thro'the hame
The green leaves it nourishes, the blooming flowers alike
The doors are opened the streets are filled
Some move to the park some go to hike
The spring has provided the summer has failed
The constant rain was gone, the raging wind was lost
Refreshing breeze has come, happy faces at last
Coats in the house, hats at home
Legs on rack arms on display
cellulites in the sun
Man boobs are disclosed
